Meet Wally. He is a 6-7 month old, handsome boy. Wally is confident, affectionate and quiet. Wally is a special needs kitten and is looking for his forever home.
Wally has Cerebral Hyperplasia, a condition that affect coordination and balance.
Wally has a unique way of showing affection in the form of biting. Yes, biting. We would suggest Wally go to a home where his boundaries can be respected and attention is given on his terms.
A note from his foster mom. “It took about two days to understand when and why Wally bites. He bites when he is held a certain way, hands under his neck right under his mouth. The bites are not vicious. Often they are slow, disguised as what you would think is a nuzzle until you feel it. I have a three year old daughter who knows to only pet Wally on his back. He has never bit her. When company comes over to the house I place him in a dog kennel where he can stay comfortably safe for a few hours and take an uninterrupted nap.”
Wally’s condition makes him appear clumsy and uncoordinated. We would suggest a house with limited stairs. Even slippery floors have been a challenge. Wally likes to sleep on a bed close to the floor. You will not find him on the couch or bed because he often has trouble getting down from high places.
Wally eats as a normal kitten would. However he is a cleaner eater when the good bowls are raised a few inches off the group, unlike traditional cat bowls.
Despite his challenges, Wally is truly an awesome cat and is deserving of a loving home.
