Andy is an older kitten who is not quite a year old. He has been living on the street as a friendly stray and has recently been brought into our adoption program to find a forever home. He will be a little shy at first, and will take some time to warm up. But once he is comfortable with you, he becomes a confident kitty who craves attention and wants to be with you all the time. He is a lap kitty who is very playful and into everything. He will try to 'type' on your computer, or help you "sweep" the floor.

Prior to treatment for fleas, he was highly sensitive to the flea bites and he ended up scratching sores on his skin. Now that he has no fleas and he is not scratching so much, the sores are healing up. He would benefit from on-going flea treatment to prevent that from happening again.

For the most part, he gets along well with other cats. However, he can be food assertive and will growl and take over other cats' food dishes. Also he needs more training to not jump up on kitchen counters as he searches for food.
