This sweet but justifiably timid girl had a rough start in life. Abandoned by her owners while pregnant and only 8 months old she found shelter in a neighbors yard who then brought her inside to safely give birth and called our rescue for assistance. MomaRita is a beautiful, loving girl! She chirps and talks but isn't noisy.  She likes to be near people while also respecting personal space. Doesn't yet love being held but in her short time here has come a long way. She was quite timid, and now will sleep on the bed at night. She has started to enjoy playing with toys as well. She lays at her foster dads feet while he works at his desk and will rub on his legs. With time she will gain more confidence and add much love to your family. MomaRita would not be best matched with young children but older children who know how to be calm & gentle with her and respect her boundaries should be ok. With slow introduction she does ok with dogs as long as they are cat friendly and also are respectful of her personal space. 
Because MomaRita was not cared for properly as a kitten and was not vaccinated until she joined our rescue which has left her with the very common FHV (Feline Herpes Virus). Don’t let those words scare you, this is much much different than the human virus and is not contagious to humans. FHV causes flare ups similar to a cold in humans. MomaRitas symptoms have been some eye irritation/discharge and some mild sneezing. Adding a very inexpensive supplement to her food daily will help ease these symptoms. She will be sent home with this supplement to get you started and in the future it can be purchased on Amazon for only $20 for a couple month supply. 
This kitty has been through so much in her 1 year life span. Please help us find her a home that can show her true love for the rest of the long life she has to live.

You can also visit our resident kitties at this location anytime during regular store hours. Meet & Greets and adoptions take place for these kitties 12-4pm daily.
