Meet Ollie & Percy

These “slightly special needs” brothers are still waiting for their forever home(s) to find them. We would REALLY love for them to stay together, if possible. They are currently residing in our 24/7 adoption center and have been for several weeks already. These boys are so sweet! Percy is the first one to run up to the cage door to greet anyone that comes in and will ask for pets when they are let out for playtime or their area is being cleaned. Ollie is a sweet boy too just a little more on the timid side compared to his brother but LOVES pets and is so gentle.

We say they are “slightly” special needs because it’s really nothing serious. They both are FVR kitties which stands for Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis. What does that mean? That means they have reoccurring, what we call, “Kitty colds”. Similar to a human cold they get flare ups of things like weepy eyes, runny nose and sneezing. This runs more rampant in times of stress so getting them adopted and into a stable environment will help reduce those flare ups dramatically. More often than not these flare ups do not need treatment, however if a flare up occurs that makes them overly congested they may need a course of antibiotics prescribed by your veterinarian to get that cleared up. This is extremely common in kitties and more so common in kitties that have a rough start in life which Ollie & Percy very much did. Ollie also has a bit of a sensitive tummy and occasionally gets softer stool than normal but no treatment is needed other than making sure to keep him on one specific diet (switching foods abruptly or often can cause gastrointestinal upset in any cat but especially kitties with sensitive stomachs).

These boys deserve a loving home after what they’ve been through.. being born in a home and then thrown out on the street amongst an overpopulated colony of unaltered, unvaccinated, feral cats to fend for themselves when they were just months old after the homeowner moved and decided throwing them outside was more convenient. Fortunately for them a neighbor did the best they could by offering them food and water. These boys (and their sister who has been adopted) deserved more than what they received as tiny babies and we want nothing more than to find them a home(s) that will love them wholeheartedly for the rest of their lives.

Please share their story and if you are interested in meeting them please go visit them anytime!

This adorable boy has had a rough start in life but Ollie is slowly learning to trust again.  He is curious and likes to explore his current space but is still shy and takes some time to trust new people and new environments. Ollie is still nervous with being held but is accepting of snuggling and pets. He also really likes to be brushed! After acclimating to his foster home he will come to the door of his safe room and greet his foster when she comes in especially if he knows he’s getting treats and food. When no one is around him and his brother are active and playful, they are just slow to be confident in front of people. Ollie just needs someone with patience and love to help him forget his past and look forward to the future. Ollie needs a calm household with no children and with someone patient and experienced with helping kitties find their confidence again. Ollie would love to stay with his brother Percy if possible! How can you resist that adorable face mask?

This kitty has joined our adoption center located inside of Petsmart at 5879 Lone Tree Way in Brentwood CA. Viewing available anytime during store hours however meet & greets and adoptions take place between 12-4pm daily. To meet any of our adoption center kitties you must have an approved application on file. You can fill one out in store by speaking to a petcare associate or you can be pre-approved online by going to www.catsupport.net and clicking on the “apply to adopt”. Filling out an adoption application is not a promise that you will adopt that animal nor does it guarantee your right to adopt. It is simply a questionnaire for our matching process. Cat Support Network strives on helping find a purrfectly matched kitty for your home.

All of our kitties are already spayed or neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and treated for any external or internal parasites.
